Silas Update #99 (June 29, 10:11 pm)

Well, Silas is amazing. And so strong. He body is getting stronger and stronger. But much more importantly, his faith is getting stronger and stronger. By the minute.

Tonight he said these words. Seemingly out of nowhere… “I’m so thankful that tree hit me. How else would my testimony have spread to so many people. And, this story will help me evangelize in the future.” 🥰🥰🥰

He continues to impress in therapy. He works hard and has an incredible attitude. Oh. And he is just plain ol’ delightful.

He felt really good today. His siblings were so thrilled to see him being goofy. He even took his brace off and spent a little time in the pool with everyone.

Tomorrow is a big day. We have an appointment at 8:15 am with hematology. Basically, his blood was clotting a bit too well at the hospital. So they want to check that out. Also, he takes a blood thinner shot in his belly everyday. They might be able to offer an alternative. He also has a CT scan followed by an appointment with Dr. Savage (his amazing neurosurgeon). This will be the first time he has met her. I can’t wait!

Please pray that tomorrow goes well and is full of good news. Pray that his blood is healthy and that they can offer him a pill alternative (instead of the belly shot). Please pray that the CT scan shows big improvement and that Dr. Savage is encouraged. Please pray that Si’s faith continues to grow. Please pray that he will take opportunities to share his faith. Please pray for 100% recovery for Silas.

If you have not read his testimony you are missing out! Here it is…

These bracelets came in the mail today… 30 of them! Yes please! Whoever sent them, thank you!

  1. These updates are SO encouraging! I am very thankful that God is working so mightily in Silas’s life and healing him to boot! I have this prayer app on my phone that chimes several times a day. It says: Pray for Silas. Every time I see it I make a conscious effort to lift you all up in prayer and pray specifically for all the things you mention in your latest update. Thank you for keeping us informed of his progress and needs. Wedding craziness is upon us but I am delighting in God’s goodness everywhere I look!
