Silas Update #4 (June 1)

As I said, the first 72 hours after the trauma are critical. Some more swelling is expected. It is inevitable. The doctor just told me they are “supporting Silas as he swells while keeping him as safe as possible.”

He is swelling. The pressures are going up. Please pray for safety for Silas and continued wisdom for the doctors.

Our hearts desire is that all of you who read this know and love the Lord. If you have not had a chance to hear our Sweet Si’s testimony (how he came to know and love the Lord) scroll on down…

Thank you all!!!!

  2. Praying continually. Praying that the Lord will limit the swelling to what the body needs to do to heal and that there will be NO lasting damage to our sweet Silas. While I know you are comforted by our Lord’s promises and sovereignty I also know your mama and daddy hearts are struggling. You are human and I wish I was there to take care of any and all logistical things to lift some burden. Just know if the absence of that I will stay in prayer. I love you Cindy. I love our Silas. I love your family. May God show up for Silas in a mighty mighty way that makes all glorify him!!!!

  3. Lord Jesus, we are asking that you fight for sweet Silas. Lord, would you be his strength, would you stop the swelling and allow his brain to return to normal size.? Lord, you alone are God and are capable of doing immeasurably more than we can ask or imagine!! Would you move now Jesus? Move on Silas’s behalf, fight for your boy. Give him more of you. Thank you for how you are holding him and caring for him even now. Your love for him is so amazingly great! Lord Jesus, we trust you.

  6. Thank you for updating us on Silas’s condition. I was finally able to sign in to comment on here. We have been praying and also having our church pray for Silas as we are very concerned for him. We love your sweet family and pray that you all will be comforted during this incredibly difficult time of ups and downs. Praying right now specifically that the swelling in Silas’s brain goes down and he will improve over these next few hours. 🙏

  7. I am Lily Warren’s stepmother, Lily is in Silas’s 8th grade class. I heard the news today and have been watching your updates. Lily has always spoken well of Silas. It hurts my heart to see anyone’s child hurt, but the Lord knows what hes doing even if we dont understand. I have been praying ALL day and have shared tears and prayers with my family for Silas. I know he is tough!!! What a crazy story he will have to say when he recovers and goes back to school! I have faith! I will continue to pray and keep you and your family in my heart and prayers as we continue our day!!! Please continue the updates as you are able!!! We love you.
